The Selby Area School District in cooperation with the Oahe Special Education Cooperative will conduct its Preschool Screening on Thursday, March 24th, and Friday, March 25th, 2022, starting at 8:30 am in the gymnasium.
Families with children who have birthdays between September 1, 2016, and August 31, 2019, may receive the Preschool Screening. Interested parents are asked to call the school by Thursday, March 17th, and make an appointment with Teri Moser.
The purpose of the screening is to provide parents and the school district with information related to your child's development. The screening will include the following areas: motor, concepts, language, speech, hearing, and vision. The Selby Lions Club will conduct the vision screening. The Lion's Club has advanced equipment that will allow them to screen children as young as 6 months old. If you would like your child screened, please bring them to the screening on the date indicated above. The process will last between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The screening will be provided at no cost to families. A team of professionals and assistants will conduct the screening.
