Safe Routes

The Safe Routes to School program continues to make strides in ensuring our children have a safe and enjoyable journey to school. On this year's Safe Routes to School Day, Jesse Gosch and Shane Thorstenson (from the SD Department of Transportation) distributed lighted wristbands to the Selby Area Elementary Students.

Safe Routes to School Day 2023 serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting the safety and well-being of our students. Encouraging active transportation, such as walking or biking, not only promotes physical health but also instills valuable life skills and promotes a sense of community.  Together, we create an environment where our children can thrive, grow, and learn without the worry of transportation hazards.  Thank you to those who have worked hard to make our school routes safer for our students!
