Selby Students Take Top Honors at the 49th Annual Mobridge Art Show
Selby, SD — This year has been exceptional for our young artists, who have been recognized for their remarkable creativity and talent at several prestigious art competitions, with the highlight being the 49th Annual Mobridge Art Show held on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13 at the Scherr-Howe Arena in Mobridge.
This annual event brought together four different schools, showcasing the incredible artistic abilities of students from across the region. The Scherr-Howe Arena buzzed with excitement as attendees admired over 130 stunning pieces from Selby alone, ranging from intricate drawings to bold paintings, imaginative sculptures, mixed media compositions, and digital works.
A particularly proud moment for Selby came when two of our students received the highest distinction of the event: both Judges’ Choice Awards.
Samuel Ernst earned Judge’s Choice Art for his mixed media painting “Sheep On The Loose.”
Jentry Hubner took home Judge’s Choice Photography for “Cattle Chute Ready.”
These top honors reflect not only individual talent but also the strength of Selby’s art program and the dedication of its young creatives.
