Selby Area School Students Selected for Dakota Student Art Exhibition

Selby Area School is proud to congratulate six talented students who have been selected to represent our high school at the 2026 Dakota Student Art Exhibition (DSAE) in Aberdeen, South Dakota. This group of students will compete both as a team and as individual artists, showcasing their creativity and artistic achievement.

Representing Selby Area School are Brynnly Huber (9th grade), Ella Perman (9th grade), Gabbie Sykes (11th grade), Alexa Secker (11th grade), Evelyn Shearer (11th grade), and Elias Hildebrant (12th grade).

The Dakota Student Art Exhibition brings student artists together under the mentorship of professional artists for a day of hands-on workshops, collaborative learning, and a judged gallery exhibition. This year, students will present their artwork alongside peers from approximately 18–19 schools across the region, making it a highly competitive and inspiring event.

Participants will attend multiple workshops and display their artwork in a public gallery show, continuing a tradition that began in 1996 to celebrate and inspire young artists through The John Sieh Legacy.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication, creativity, and commitment to the arts, and we wish them the best as they represent Selby Area School at this outstanding regional event!
