As you prepare for the upcoming school year, please remember that South Dakota law (SDCL 13-28-7.1) requires students entering 6th grade to provide proof of the following immunizations before attending school:
✅ One dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis)
✅One dose of MCV4 (Meningococcal vaccine)
If your child is 10 years old when school begins, they have 45 days after their 11th birthday to receive these vaccinations and submit documentation.
Please schedule your child's appointment with your healthcare provider as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute delays. Documentation can be submitted to the school office before the start of the school year.
