Congratulations to two wolverine track and field records being set at the state B track meet today. The boys sprint medley relay broke the school record by over six seconds with a time of 3:43.65 earning them 5th place at the state meet. Members include Kaleb Claymore, Porter Gregg, Tyson Schumacher, and Gavin Hirsch. Also, Breanna Jochim rebroke her school record in the long jump with a jump of 16'11.25" earning her a 2nd place finish at the state meet.


Good luck to the wolverine track and field team as they participate in the State B track meet this Thursday through Saturday in Sioux Falls. Congratulations on two wolverines track and field athletes setting school records today at the regional meet in Gettysburg. Breanna Jochim set the school record in the long jump at 16'10" and Gavin Hirsch set the school record in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:06.25.


The Junior class of 2028 will be starting this fundraiser June 1st. Be on the lookout!

Happy last day of school! Here are some of the awards given to our awesome elementary students including Quarter 4 Perfect Attendance, 2nd Semester Perfect Attendance, Most Improved, Super Students, Library Reading Challenge, Young Author’s Award, and Young Illustrator’s Awards. Two more Herreid/Selby Area track records were broke yesterday in Pierre. Evelyn Shearer broke the 1600 meter record with a time of 5:46.68. Gavin Hirsch broke the school record in the 3200 meter with a time of 10:25.12.


This summer, Ashia Starks is hosting a summer camp called “Engineering EMS.” This is a great opportunity for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade to explore emergency medical services through fun, hands-on, interactive activities. Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon using the QR code on the poster!

The FCCLA/ FFA potluck Awards night will be May 14th in the lunchroom starting at 7:00. Each family is asked to bring a dish for the potluck.
The Selby Area graduation ceremony for the 2026 graduates will be livestreamed starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 9th. The "Student of the Year" award was given to students who were nominated the most times throughout the school year. These students have consistently shown great character and academic excellence. Congratulations to two new record holders for Herreid/Selby Area wolverines track. Kaden Russell broke the school record in javelin with a toss of 135'9". Also the sprint medley team of Kaleb Claymore, Porter Gregg, Keegan Russell, and Gavin Hirsch set a new school record time at 3:50.00.
