Open Gym Reminder
Students in grades 9-12 or older persons may request a gym key from the coaches or administration for physical workout any time the gym is not in use. The coach or administration has the right to refuse the request. Use of the weight room will require supervision by a qualified adult.
Students in grades 8 and below can only use the gym facility under the supervision of an adult over 21 years of age.
The person requesting the key is responsible for the following:
- Reporting any vandalism and the identity of anyone to be held responsible for breakage or misuse of the facility.
- Turning off all lights and water faucets before leaving.
- Making sure everyone has left the gym. If someone refuses to leave the gym, the student should report it immediately to the coach or administrator from whom the key was obtained.
- Locking the door.
Any student who has a key made for their own use or anyone who used the key will lose their gym privileges.
If vandalism does occur the gym will be locked until restitution is made
The Selby Area School will have a 10:00 am late start due to poor weather and poor road conditions. Preschool has been canceled.

Region 6B BBB Update
The Wolverines have advanced to face the Lower Brule Sioux on Friday at 6 pm. The game will be at Lower Brule. Go Wolverines!
The Selby Area School will be closed today, Wednesday Mar.1. All activities have been postponed or canceled.
The Selby Area School District will have a 10:00 am late start Wednesday, March 1st.
Read Across America is being celebrated this week at school. Trooper Hannan came in to read a Dr. Seuss book "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?" to 2nd graders. They also asked questions about his brown uniform and his duties as a Highway Patrolman. A tour of his police vehicle was a highlight for 2nd graders.

BBB Region 6B Update
Due to incoming weather, Tuesday's game in Presho (Lyman) has been moved from 7:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Admission for Region Gate: $4 and $6. Only Region passes will be honored. Gate opens at 6:15.

Congratulations to the Lady Wolverines as they defeated Lower Brule to advance to Saturday's (2/25/23) Region 6B game in Onida to face Sully Buttes. Tip off scheduled for 6 pm.
Tonight's Region 6B GBB against Lower Brule will start at 6:00 PM in Herreid. A reminder that NO SCHOOL/CONFERENCE Passes will be honored as this is a SDHSAA Event.

GBB Region v. Lower Brule Information
Thursday - 2/23/23 @ Herreid - 6:00 PM
If the game cannot be played on Thursday, it will be played on Friday, 2/24/23 at 6:00 PM in Herreid.
A reminder that the game is under the guidance of the SDHSAA. ONLY Region 6B passes will be accepted. School and conference passes WILL NOT be accepted.
