CANCELED - The large group contest scheduled for Wednesday (4/5/2023) has been canceled.
Due to the forecast of heavy snow and high winds starting later this morning, the Selby Area School District will be closed today (3.31.23).
Reminder: No Open Gym Thursday- Saturday (March 30- April 1) The gym will be closed due to prom setup and decorating.
The Elementary School Spring Concert will be held on Tuesday, April 25th at 7:00 PM.
The Dakota Players was scheduled to come to the Selby Area School the week of April 24th. For unforeseen circumstances that event has been cancelled.

The Selby Area School will have a 10:00 am late start on Monday, March 13 due to drifting roads. Busses will run where possible. No preschool.
Thr Selby Area School will have a 10 AM late start on Wednesday March 8th due to the amount of snowfall from Tuesday. Parents please contact your bus drivers if your road is impassable.
The Selby Area School District will be dismissing at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 7th due to winter weather conditions. All scheduled activities will be cancelled or postponed.

Open Gym Reminder
Students in grades 9-12 or older persons may request a gym key from the coaches or administration for physical workout any time the gym is not in use. The coach or administration has the right to refuse the request. Use of the weight room will require supervision by a qualified adult.
Students in grades 8 and below can only use the gym facility under the supervision of an adult over 21 years of age.
The person requesting the key is responsible for the following:
- Reporting any vandalism and the identity of anyone to be held responsible for breakage or misuse of the facility.
- Turning off all lights and water faucets before leaving.
- Making sure everyone has left the gym. If someone refuses to leave the gym, the student should report it immediately to the coach or administrator from whom the key was obtained.
- Locking the door.
Any student who has a key made for their own use or anyone who used the key will lose their gym privileges.
If vandalism does occur the gym will be locked until restitution is made
